My Volvo XC60 broke down with an ABS issue this morning. Came across Shipham Motors on a google review that day trying to find a garage to repair after trying six ! local garages to me in Street Somerset but all too busy. Called Shipham Motors and without hesitation agreed for me to pop over that day so they could diagnose the fault. In less than two hours it was fixed and ready to go !, the customer service was first class - booked my MOT & Service for September while there. What a gem of a find today ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I had a number of issues with my XC60, one had been mis-diagnosed by another garage, and the work had been refused by a Bristol based so say elite Volvo specialist, who told me to go to a main dealer. Phil even took the time to contact me from his holiday touring Europe, and Martin discussed my cars’ problems at length with me and kept me informed at every stage. These guys are true.Volvo experts and I would not hesitate to entrust work to them, or to recommend others to do so. Thanks guys for looking after my car, and for your first class service.

Been using the garage for a few years. Having been to multiple other garages in the area with the same problems again and again, I was relieved to finally find a straight-talking business who identified the issue and fixed it at a reasonable price. They were able to identify issues that might later develop with the car (the sort of issues other garages would use to milk more money out) and suggest the cost of labour and parts. They've a friendly cat that visits, and the business has a lovely family feel.

I have been servicing all my family vehicles here for years. The team at Shipham are all friendly, honest and reliable. They treat their clients as I expect they like to be treated and that is why they retain my custom. Whatever make of car you take to them, they service, repair and MOT it, only doing work that is absolutely necessary and making advanced advisories on things they expect will need to be done in future, allowing you to plan for costly work. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone and I often do.

These guys saved my car and my sanity. With several faults on my Volvo V70 2005 including SRS a control unit codes which fail an MOT I was apprehensive to let the main VOlvo dealership loose on it. They had told me it could be several faults including a replacement SRS a control unit and new seat felt tensioners. Their policy? To change each part for a new one one at a time! The faults wouldn't clear so this was the solution! Martin at Shipham motor group swapped parts in and out from other cars using his common sense and initiative! Eventually he found that the second hand SRS a control unit I managed to find with a matching code and a second hand pretensioner fixed the problem. It would have cost over £1200 for new parts and software, but shiphams work cost a fraction. I can't thank them enough they have restored my faith in mechanics and I will now keep the car knowing I can take it to someone I trust if anything else goes wrong. He even fixed some wires on the headlight and gassed the air con then did the MOT in short I got my car back and on the road without being ripped off and I felt so grateful I felt I should try to find a review site to let others know. Ive had to open an account to do this so you know it must have been worth it! You can't go wrong with this garage if you have a Volvo then these are the guys to take it to.

The car was fine. 200,000 miles and still going strong thanks to good maintenance by me, and mostly them, over the years. But the front seats were lacking support and giving me a bad back. Solution. 'We have a crashed car in the back sir. The seats match yours exactly. The donor car is only a few years old'. The seats were swapped and look & work a treat thanks to them. Saved me a fortune and a load of trouble swapping a known car for an unknown one and a small bucket of cash. The car passed 240,000 miles recently - the distance to the moon - and is still going strong. I can't recommend them highly enough to you and your readers. If only all garages were this good.
