I have only praise for the Semmens family and their employees. They have a very happy and experienced team who work well together and aim to please everyone at all times. I have had a number of taxing problems with different cars over the years. The time taken to solve and repair my cars depended on the problem, but both George and Luc have extremely high standards and always feed back any issues with a call to ensure I have wanted to go ahead with work, be it MOTs or more recently a new clutch and cable after nearly 20 years of use. Heads have been skimmed, parts replaced and headlights polished to name a few jobs carried out. I could go on, but needless to say they are all an amazing team. Whatever the problem with your vehicle I can wholeheartedly recommend Semmens of Southsea. I even had a lovely video from Luc, George and Billie with best wishes on my 70th birthday! They remember their customers and treat them brilliantly with a few extras! My daughter also uses them. I trust them implicitly and commend them to you at all times.

I have been taking my car to Semmens since 2019 for its regular servicing and MOT's. I have also had a number of minor "emergencies" such as flats & punctures. In over 40 years of car ownership Semmens are by far the most honest, friendly & efficient garage I have ever used. My car is often returned ahead of time and the works completed for less than quoted. Recently, during a period of illness, Luc moved my car four or five times away from roadworks, parking suspensions and to & from his garage. Definitely the best in Portsmouth.

Friendly garage, I work for the NHS and some of the female staff were worried about using any garage, I have sent them here and now this is the only garage they use. FEMALE FRIENDLY is how one friend decribed the service, great service.

The staff at Semmens are extremely friendly and helpful. They offer a proffessional service from start to finish. The prices are very competitive. I will definitely be going back there.

We have been bringing our family cars here for 15 years and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Luc and his team. We have always found them to be totally honest and trustworthy, have always only done the work needed and tell me if they think something may need doing in the future. Like the person that reviewed before us we have had times when we have been told something may need doing but they wouldn't know until they looked into the problem more then told us it wasnt necessary and just needed tightening up etc, and to those like us who know absolutely nothing about cars is rest assuring. I have been using Semmens Of Southsea for 20 years. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and honest and always keep you informed of progress on your vehicle. Often I have been pleasantly surprised to find that the bill is less than originally quoted because a part didn't need replacing after all, or a fault was easier to rectify than previously indicated. Sometimes these days, cars have to go to main dealers (on-board computers etc!) but Semmens Of Southsea have been happy to try to identify a problem (at no cost!) so that I'm not completely clueless when I go to the main dealer!
