My car broke down for the second time within eight weeks of buying it but I managed to finally get it started but was confident that it wouldn't start again if I turned off the engine. Port Tyres & Autocare was the closest garage to me and they kindly let me take it there just before closing time. I was incredibly grateful and even more so when they had diagnosed the faults (poor battery, snapped alternator belt and poor starter motor) and repaired them by 4pm the following day. This is outstanding service considering I was a last minute customer but I have two children under 21 months and I am 22 weeks pregnant so I really needed my car and they really helped me out. Jay was a brilliant mechanic who kept me updated throughout the day and he offered great advice and help when I went to pick up the car. The cost was very reasonable and I'd recommend this garage in a heartbeat. They've gained a customer for life from me.

After feeling ripped off for years by a main dealers inferior & expensive service I decided to try an independent and chose Port tyres. I was so glad I did. Ive been bringing my now ancient car to them ever since. They have great customer service, a professional set up and never try to charge you for anything that's not required. Servicing, MOTs, Tyres, whatever you need to keep your car on the road, safe and reliable, they'll sort it out. I have been taking my car/s to Port Tyres for over a decade. The service they have given me over the years has always been faultless. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and on occassions, as a woman and in sticky situations with my car, they have always accommodated me at short notice, always going the extra mile to provide excellent customer service. Efficient, competitive prices and highly trained mechanics I would not entrust my car to anyone else. My family have used Port Tyres and autocare a lot even though it's not in Chester. But I took my car to the dealer where I bought it because I want to have a good warranty when I sell it. My car seemed okay to me when it went for a MOT but they told me it needed over £800 of work. I didn't have that kind of cash. So I took it to Port Tyres. They said it wouldn't pass the MOT but it only needed new brakes and a couple of wiper blades. My bill was less than £200. And it doesn't affect my warranty. I thought I had to go to the dealer but Craig guaranteed the work and I've checked it out since and it's true! Thank you Port Tyres for saving me money and making me feel that you cared about me and my car and not what was in my purse!

when you go to port tyres,i have always found craig the owner and his manager roy to be very helpfull,as a taxi driver if i have a mechanical i need someone who is going to get me back on the road asap,and if they can do it they will,honest fair pricing as well,excellent
