I have used this garage for many years, for services, MOT, tyres, batteries, mechanical and bodywork repairs. Prices are reasonable, I have a 10 yr. old SAAB and despite not being specialists in the make they have always been able to resolve the problem, usually within the day. They have loan cars so I have never been without wheels, and I have never had to worry that they will carry out and charge for unnecessary work. It is a garage where I genuinely feel that they have my interests at heart, a situation which is not always available elsewhere these days. Long may they continue!

Rover 75 - year 2000. Central locking problem. After locking the car using the key fob the car would unlock itself sometime in the next 5 to 6 hours! Sometimes the alarm would sound, hazard lights flash and internal saloon lights would come-on. Green’s used their Rover diagnostic computer. They uploaded and updated all the car’s CPU software. This has cured the problem. No problem for a whole week. The unknown nature of the problem offered lots of scope for ‘work creation’. Green’s created none. Indeed I had given them pre-authorisation to change the driver’s side door lock if that should prove to be the cause of the problem. I paid for the diagnostic work at the agreed price. This is the second time I’ve used Green’s because of their Rover 75 knowledge and equipment. The round trip to Green’s is over 100 miles from Watford. Two years ago they replaced the cam-belts. It is a petrol 2L car and there aren’t a great number of garages with the tools required to carry out cam-belt changes.
