Kilgannon carried out work on our zafira which had developed a coolant leak, they provided a courtesy car and kept me updated. Afterwards, the car developed an unrelated minor issue and they repaired the car free of charge. Superb service - couldn't recommend highly enough.

"Probably the best service I have ever received from a garage and as smeone who was lucky enough to change my car every year until recently I've dealt with a few . "

Called in on chance as current car (skoda superb) had slipping clutch. Ended up buying a new (to me) Skoda Fabia . Delighted with the whole transaction, have never dealt with a more helpful garage. I'm 78 and have dealt with a few, usually franchised main dealers ,and never been more satisfied with the helpful service including disposing of my old car, the superb, efficiently and at a good price.

Had tyres fitted on Saturday morning. At Saturday lunchtime while driving to my mother's with wife and 4yo child on board (my Wife's Mini), when joining the motorway a knocking noise started and got worse. Recognising the signs were bad (I strongly suspected loose wheel nuts but could have been something else) I left the motorway, confirmed the issue and as MINI's do not come with a jack, nursed the car via back roads to my mothers. There was approaching 1 mm of movement between wheel and hub when I rocked the top of the wheel. One nut was moderately tight, the other 3 little better than finger tight. I had to ask my mum to drive me to Halfords for a wheel brace so I could make safe. This is a school boy error by a reputable garage and one I can't let go without complaint to both the garage and Black Circles. Receptionist (who was only staff member around when I called to advise what happened) was most apologetic and obviously this was not her fault so I did not give her both barrels on the phone. Leaving this review before I speak to the Service Manager as, frankly, an apology and/or reimbursement of my expenses does not change the fact that this scared the bejeesus out of my wife and could have been an awful lot worse than it actually was. I won't be using this garage again (obviously) but if you do, watch them torque up your wheels and don't assume they have done so.

Based on on-line reviews, I decided to use this garage for the first time to have front discs and pads replaced. On arrival, I was welcomed by the owner, who thanked me for my custom and then introduced to his daughter, Katie, to go over the paperwork for the repairs. Katie advised that the garage would carry out a health check on the vehicle and notify me by phone if there were any other matters which might need attention. Should the repairs be confined to pads and discs, the car would be available for collection within 2 hours. I was then provided with a lift to the town centre, a few miles away, to attend to some personal business, and within a couple of hours, I received a call to say the work had been completed and a member of staff was en-route to pick me up and return me to the garage to collect the car. Back at the garage the owner, who had carried out the work on the car, presented the old worn parts and took the time to explain what had caused the 'juddering' I had experienced. Katie then went over in detail the paper-work and the result of the free health check. In terms of friendly service, quality and price-excellent!

"General repairs & servicing,outsources MOTs"
By trabijim, 7 December 2011

A small 3 man 1 woman operation. This garage is prepared to spend time fixing things rather than just replacing them. Very competent and honest. They are prepared to service / repair any age/make of vehicle, they can source genuine makers parts to keep the warranty valid. MOTS are carried out at another local garage 6miles away, but Northend does the pre-MOT check or work required. Over the last 10 years or so I've used them with a variety of cars, including my present car, a new KIA. It is their attention to detail that impresses me, eg removing & cleaning & copper ease greasing the brake components at a service-something my KIA main dealer did not do. They are always busy, so instant fixes can sometimes be a problem, but they do try. They have an excellent local reputation (their business depends on it) and their prices are very reasonable when compared to flash main dealers. I've used them to buy tyres and a battery, all at very reasonable prices. I like the idea of talking to the man that has done the work on my car rather than a receptionist, this garage fits the bill !
