Nivlem Garage, Aberdeen

Had a very poor experience here. Took car in to check out potential underlying issues in mot failure. Asked the owner to look into it. Received call saying car was ready a couple of days later. Ready? I didn't ask him to do anything, just look into it and call me with what you think / an estimate! As well as the high cost of these 'repairs' it didn't pass the next mot.. The review below may seem harsh but it reflects the fact I essentially paid quite a bit of money for absolutely nothing.

Avoid if you can! They will charge you but do nothing.

Nivlem garage is a small but busy business in Aberdeen. Mike who owns and runs it has been looking after our Audi and BMW for a while now and it's one of the only garages I've ever used where I have complete confidence that only the work that is needed will be done, and they do their best to keep bills low. On more than one occasion I've been quoted for work that, once done, has either not been needed once they've looked closer, or has not cost as much as quoted. This tells me that I can trust Mike and his team. That's the main thing for me, but on top of this they're also really friendly, pretty good at sticking to timings, and happy to take on warranty work as well. I never normally bother with reviews for anything online but when there are so many garages out there looking to rip you off I thought it was well worth spreading the news about one that isn't like that.
