Use this garage at your peril. Shocking service from Dale and Mary. Couldn't care less attitude. Dont carry out any work after weeks and then are rude and lazy. Take your car anywhere else. Worst garage ever!

COMPLAINT: After a number of attempts to contact this Garage through all legal channels they have unfortunately ignored all my correspondence. After being a loyal customer of Mot masters of 14 Agard street Derby for a number of years I took my car into them to have the injector seals replaced on their advice. I drove my car into their garage, 24 hours after leaving the vehicle with them I make a call to see the whereabouts of my car as I was taking my daughter on holiday the day after. Within that call the price had mysteriously doubled from £100 to £200. Being a previous customer of this company I trusted them however I was clearly wrong to do so. 2/3 days later no returned phone calls, when I finally get hold of Dale Elay (The person who appears to be the owner, however is not even a director) he informed me that he had taken my car to an engineering company because his mechanic had snapped a bolt while doing the original job (hence where the extra £100 came from). 2 days later I receive a call informing me that my car no longer runs. After passing the blame around and informing me that Dale had himself contacted his own solicitor before contacting me clearly indicates that something dodgy is going on. Mot Masters are completely unwilling to repair the damage done to my vehicle. After speaking to one of his staff I discover that the damage to my vehicle is inside the engine, most probably caused from debris from the original job and they don't have the specialist tools to do it. I have tried to resolve this situation amicably however it seems Dale was hoping it would go away obviously knowing how difficult it can be for a consumer. He has out right refused to give me his company insurance details and demanded that his staff not give them me which I may add he is obliged to be law. He has also refused to answer my formal recorded letters asking if his company is a member of an alternative dispute solution organisation which is required by law and once again I have been ignored. Dale knows full well that I am self employed and need my car to earn a living, they have had my car for 6 weeks plus and not a single contact has been made. I am not asking for anything more than I am entitled to. All I want is my car repairing and my minimal hire car costs covered that have resulted from this companies involvement and negligence. When I take a car into a garage, willing to spend my hard earned cash I expect the job to be done with appropriate skill and not to have my whole daily life turned around by the greed and insolence of a decision maker. A complaint with both trading standards and the institute of motor traders have now been made.
