Just bought a Defender 90 and wanted to get the oil changed and have it given a once over check, it was 10 years old and 150,000 miles on the clock. The guys did a great job and only did the work which was necessary and important, i.e a new brake calliper and pads all round. Very happy with the work they did and the price I paid. Great service and I would recommend. Dropped the car off, got the train home and then train back at night ! Simples.

I was experiencing problems with the engine performance on my Freelander 2 which I thought was something to do with the turbocharger [the car was reluctant to accelerate and funny whistling noises could be heard]. I called into Mike Aitken 4x4 without appointment today 27/09/13 to see if they knew what the problem might be and whether there was a quick fix. When I explained what I had experienced and that a "Reduced engine performance" notice had appeared on the dashboard information screen one of the mechanics identified immediately what he thought was the problem [clip(s) that had rusted and broken loose from a small rod]. A quick inspection confirmed this to be the case and within 10 minutes my car had been repaired and restored to perfect working order. And they did it free gratis. I found Mike Aitken 4x4 by chance many years ago when I was experiencing problems with the first Freelander 1 I had and which a main dealer could not diagnose and repair. But Mike Aitken 4x4 found the problem and sorted it. Since then I have had all my servicing, repairs and MOT's carried out by them. Their hourly charge for labour is substantially less than that of a main dealer so not only do you get better service you also get it for less. If Mike Aitken 4x4 can't sort out your vehicle then no one can. I have no hesitation in recommending Mike Aitken 4x4 to anyone.
