I've used Melrose Garage, off and on for about 40 years. They are a friendly independently owned garage. I've always been happy with the work they do and what they charge. It's nice to have a local garage you can trust!

I've used this garage for the last few years for MOT and servicing. My car is getting on a bit and I expect it to need a bit of work each year. The mechanics are experienced and knowledgeable and happy to discuss what work is essential, what is desirable and let you know of things that might crop up before the next MOT. They recommended where to get tyres for a better price than they could offer and unlike the previous garage I used all work has been top notch and they've never added on jobs that don't really need doing.

I used this garage in 2016 for an MOT and a service. My ten year old car needed some new bushes for its suspension and the work was done quickly and for a fair price. I live in Canterbury but use Melrose when I'm back in Norwich. My family also uses the garage and we trust them when it comes to what they recommend needs to be done and the cost of the work.

The protective casing for my muffler was hanging off and rusting to the point where it was unsafe to drive the car. I called up and drove over shortly after. Before I knew it, all four tyres had been pumped up and the old rusty casing had been sawn off as a temporary fix. Then, when I asked how much it'd be I was told to have a good day! Completely free of charge! Garages like this are hard to come by. Thank you ever so much!
