Mb Nottingham

I contacted MB Nottingham regarding a leaking gasket on my water pump, I was asked to take my van to them to have my water pump type confirmed before booking it in for repair. Unknown to me, they carried out a pressure test to let me know I had a water leak. The cost of that test was £102-00, a test I would have declined had I been asked. I was given a cost of, £412-37, for the pump and gasket to be replaced, total cost turned out to be £514-37. Mercedes dealership total cost is £385-02. A difference of £129.35. I decided to have the work carried out at a Mercedes dealership but I feel I was scammed by MB Nottingham, who, by charging me for an unwanted and unnecessary pressure test, have cost me much more than I should have paid. Trusting MB Nottingham turned out to be a costly experience and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Took my wife's SL for a service, charged nearly 1k and was told that 2 Air Con Pipes were needed at a cost of £360 + Fitting + Re-gassing. Declined to get it done and picked up car. Less than a week later a major aircon part somehow loosened itself resulting in a new Aircon Unit which had to be done elsewhere. Was notified that the chances of the aircon unit coming undone the way it had done was near impossible !!! Went to an aircon specialist who vacuumed and tested the aircon system then refilled and was tested again under ultraviolet - Surprise surprise no leaks of pipes whatsoever despite the MB garage wanting to replace them. Like the other garage said they could not see how the retaining bolt for the aircon unit could come undone on its own. I can only surmise that the retaining bolt was undone for some inexplicable reason whilst this garage was looking for supposedly leaks in the system that did not exist - resulting in the damaged caused and a new AirCon Unit being fitted. Another week later and all the electronics went completely haywire. Ever since the car was returned from this garage there has been one problem after another. Wrote to the garage who offered to have a look at the car to which they will find a new AirCon Unit but no offer to compensate me for the damage I feel they have caused and no explanation as to why they were trying to charge for parts that were clearly not needed

What a fantastic experience with the team at MB Nottingham on every occasion i have used them, especially just recently. Everything is explained thoroughly , never overcharge from what they quote me so i know what i am paying. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Have used MB now for over 5 years and i cant complain. They are honest in the work they carry out, the price they quote and if there is anything wrong with the car they tell me straight away. If i am ever in doubt they will always provide me with photos or a written report. The service advisor is brilliant who always makes sure im kept in the loop. I think its so important to take your car to a garage that you trust. Ill always recommended this garage to my family and friends.

Really impressed with the quality of service given. I can say they are a wonderful family run business who are no different than using the main dealers, except these people actually care about the service and price they give to their customers. The price they promised was the price I paid for the service at the end, no hidden charges. I was given a full report of my vehicle, invoices were explained to me. I have to say I will be using this company again!

Excellent all round service, from start to finish. No hidden added costs when you go to pick the car up which I think gives the best peace of mind for anyone. You don't have to worry your suddenly having your bill doubled which is what we all fear of.

If you want a service and mot doing then this is the place, no different than going to a dealership I thought. All staff were professional, printed me a copy of the Mercedes authorised service report which I can keep but they register it online too for when I decide to sell the vehicle later on. Really happy I chose to bring my Mercedes here and I will be using this garage in the future.

Service and MOT carried out with, recurved a discounted pricing for having both jobs done on the same day. Vehicle was ready to collect the same day and I got a free health check done on the car along with a nice wash an vac!

STAY CLEAR OF THIS FIRM Took my car there for a fixed price service. they had the car for three days, however, when I went to collect it their bill was nearly £840. they charged me £264 for a hose. and £133 for a valve. what hose? and what valve? I have no idea.. they did all this without my authority. They also have a disclaimer on all of their bills which states they will keep your car unless all monies are paid. Hence if you don't pay they keep your car! Watch out people

WARNING to all potential customers DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE I cant even call them a garage as its an insult to all other real garages and honest businesses out there. The car went in for a routine service having passed its MOT test a week earlier. A few hours later I received a call telling me I needed to spend £1700 on it as it was not safe to drive. The cost of my service doubled when I declined the work, when questioned they would not shift on the price and the owner was very rude to me. When I left the garage, my anger was made worse by the condition they left my car in. They obviously do not use seat covers and have very low standards. There was a black oil mark on the carpet that wont come out until this day. I later discovered through a friend that they are not all Mercedes trained as I was lead to believe and that things like this are a quite regular occurrence with them. I took the car to another specialist for a safety check and they confirmed that there was only 1 small job that required attention. They took me in to their workshop and showed me what was required and it only cost me £33 to rectify. This was how I would expect to be treated and now I will return there for all of my future work.
