Options were given to me for just an MOT or an MOT and an annual service. I chose the MOT and service. They itemised what they had done, highlighted advisories on the MOT and service and the bill was within my budget, just! I would go there again.

I took my tired 05 plate Jaguar XJ8 to Martins Mechanicals with multiple faults including ABS failure and an air suspension malfunction. The work required was quite extensive and this was all explained to me in detail. I also opted to get a full service carried out at the same time. I was given a very reasonable estimate which was entirely accurate. During the work I was regularly updated on progress and invited to visit at anytime if I wanted to see the work for myself. When I collected the car the quality of the work was beyond compare. The car now drives as if it had just rolled off the production line. I would not take my cars to any other garage.

When presented with a sixteen year old Focus for an MOT few garages can be expected to show much interest in the car or its owner, but not so in this case. Side by side with a Jaguar sports to die for, my old bus got equal attention. Work was necessary but as often with an old car was not completed without some unforeseeable hitches. This nevertheless did not add to the bill, which came in a little under estimate. On the contrary, the owners, Simon and Sonia, drove me home, brought the car to me later and topped the tank up to the tune of £15 to compensate for my trouble. What trouble? The job took as long as it had to, so this was a truly generous gesture.
