KC Jones, Oswestry

Bought a mini countryman from KC Jones car garage Oswestry. Bought at 48,000 miles and drove less than 100 miles a week in 11 months (4,000) and 11 pints of oil used. Oil light never came on until the 11th month! Most of their cars are bought in from auctions. Took it back, it wasn’t burning oil or leaking oil, I asked him “Tell me why the oil had disappeared” his reply was “The fairies must have had it”. He blamed us for not checking the oil. Charged us for oil and £264.65 for looking at car problem. I found him fly and rude, he had no intention for taking responsibility for it (£10,500 paid). I maintain it as a dodgy engine and I said the oil had gone into the water, his reply was “only a small smear in radiator”. I found the staff unhelpful, so my advice to anybody, DO NOT buy a car from KC Jones Oswestry. Don’t get mugged by him, lost a lot of money and the worst car I have purchased!

I bought a £10K car from these crooks, full service thrown in... a year later I have oil leaking from everywhere...... the Mini specialist who sorted it out sent an oil sample to Millers Oils for analysis... the result, KC Jones had used an oil leak additive, a cheap trick to sort an oil leak just to sell the car... these additives basically make the seals swell (stops the leak) but softens all the other seals which then fail.... It cost me £900 to get all the seals replaced... My advice... NEVER BUY A CAR FROM KC JONES OSWESTRY...

It took me many years to find a dependable garage in the area. As an engineer I'm usually aware when garages are "imagining problems" that they then offer to fix at an inflated price. Over the past 4 years I've found K C Jones to be reliable, dependable and trustworthy. There are cheaper garages in town - and dearer ones! - but the price here is very reasonable for the high level of service provided. I'm even going to trust them to service my new car to warranty standards, rather than use the dealer servicing! On my last visit they had five staff working flat out 20 minutes beyond closing time to get my work van back on the road so that I wouldn't have to lose time in the morning collecting it. Very well done guys!
