JKM Motor service LTD

I chose JKM as I wanted to try independent VAG specialist as had recently changed my car. Research done and good reviews for JKM on various sites. Communication from JKM excellent both by email and returning messages left on their phone - Kate who is owner very helpful and polite. Service and mot done collected following day. All advisories explained with Kate going through service and inspection report thoroughly. The overall impression was one of confidence and making me feel valued as a customer.

I've been visiting JKM now for about 10 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The service is 1st class and with Kate on reception running a tight ship, Jim and the boys who work there provide workmanship to the highest standard. If these guys can't fix it then it's not worth fixing!

I went to this garage a couple years ago with my r32. They sorted a difficult fault after a couple failed attempts at other garages and some of my own unsuccessful fault finding. They traced my intermittent misfires to a broken wire from coilpack 4 to the ECU, I was getting a P0354 code and tried literally everything to get it sorted. I have since moved away from Portsmouth and I’m now based in Scotland and honestly I have not found a better garage for my vw yet. I’d definetly recommend this garage to others and be happy to return in the future.

I've owned my Mk1 Skoda Octavia VRS since 2014 (writing this in March 2019) and I've used JKM since day 1 of ownership. They've done so much work on the car, from overhauling it just after purchasing the car, to REVO mapping on their dyno, fault finding, cambelt and waterpump changes, MOTs, servicing, the lot. My service history folder is quite large now, which I think is a big positive - they've even stated my car is one of the more solid examples that they get to deal with, so that's reassuring. I recommend JKM to all of my friends, and even those asking for garage recommendations on Facebook. It's an ~80 mile round-trip for me, but it's completely worth it - if you find a good garage, keep hold of them! Thanks to Kate, Jim, Sean, Ben, Danny and Tony for all their hard work.

My golf mk4 Vr6 went in for timing chains and MOT. Timing chains was a big job so did a lot of research on different garages in the area before settling on JKM. They only used original Volkswagen parts where possible and completed the work quickly. When it came to MOT the job was thorough and they provided good advice and rectified the few issues found. Excellent itemised 5 page invoice provided on collection. I would have no hesitation in using JKM again.

Go there have your car serviced or repaired and you won't go anywhere else.

They look after both of my cars, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Great service and great people to deal, nothing is too much trouble.

The only garage I will take my car to. Quality of work is second to none. Kate is very helpful and knowledgeable in explaining any repairs that are required. Even gave me a free courtesy car for the weekend after the repair work had over ran on a Friday. Not the cheapest garage around but you get what you pay for in terms of quality and service.

Used JKM a few times and they've always been very good. The very very best thing is their refusal to employ the parts cannon and throw piles of the customers money at things that might fix the car, but might not. Even when faced with the most difficult diagnostic tasks that had stumped a fair few garages before hand JKM spent time and effort to get the vehicle repaired properly and in a decent time frame. In short, they can pretty much do what no one else local can with a VAG.

Absolutely top drawer service. Friendly, knowledgable and ultra enthusiastic about all things VW. I wouldn’t take my VAG car anywhere else!

I've used jkm with my vrs for over 4 years. They have done everything on it from mot, service, tuning and rolling road runs. Top staff. Nothing negative to say about them.
