Howes Motor Engineers, Norwich

I use Howes for all of my repairs MOTs and Services and they are always first class. I have absolutely no doubts when I go to collect my car that the work has been done correctly and completely. I have been going there for over 10 years and it is always one good part of my car getting over three years old and no longer being tied to the manufacturers.

So the issue was MOT had expired on my car and i had failed to notice - it being a bank holiday weekend i had to wait until today to ring around to book vehicle in. Telephoned howes motor engineers, salhouse road, norwich who reassured me firstly not to worry - booked vehicle in for this afternoon - said that they would do their best to do any necessary work (if not too big) to ensure a pass - and kept to their word. MOT cost was £40.00 - despite vehicle being a bit old now it flew through with no problems - some garages charge less for mots - have seen £19.00 in norwich but there is always (well nearly) a cost - ie deep look for work that perhaps not necessary. MOT costs i have also seen 54.00 - so for me £40.00 for an unbias mot inspection was worth it. The garage is very busy - many return customers so they don't need to look for work that is not needed. Am booking in to return for a car service. In past i have had a service done elsewhere and not been convinced that an oil change (which i had paid for) had actually been done - these boys i feel confident will do what they say they will - and that peace of mind is worth a lot.
