I bought a car from Hawthorns Garage, the car didn't come with what it stated on the advert, I had to argue for these items. After driving the car on a long distance journey the car lost power and was faulty and dangerous to drive. I went through the warranty company, had the faults diagnosed with another garage. As I only had the car a couple of weeks I asked Hawthorns to rectify the faults, gave them the list of faults found by the other garage. Hawthorns said that they could not find any faults on the car and returned the car back with over 150+ miles added to the clock. After another long distance drive the fault was still there, I contacted Hawthorns again, as I was asked to go through them by them. It took over 3 months to get the car back to them for them to rectify the fault. I was left with a faulty car which I purchased from them for over 4months. When the car came back the second time round and after 10days of it being in for repair, they found an old fault with the exhaust pressure and sensor, I asked why this had not been seen before when it first went in to them over 4months previously, I was deflected with a different response. My car came back with over 300+ miles on the clock and I was informed that the boss had been taking my car home with him, he lives 70 miles away. I asked why there was an excessive amount of miles on the clock again, and I was told that they are very disappointed in my attitude and I had already been told that they had to test drive the car. My car also came back with damage to the wheel and bumper, which was not there before it went in for repair. I have had nothing but poor, rude and disappointing service from this garage with a lack of communication, from purchasing my car from them to them fixing the fault. My advice would be to go somewhere else.

Hawthorns have looked after us for years . The whole team go above and beyond to sort out your problem quickly and efficiently, even coming in ridiculously early to get an urgent job done for us before a house move, and on another occasion collecting my car from a roadside when the clutch failed. They never do unnecessary jobs, and are accurate in their predictions about how long things can wait before replacement. Rare to find a garage you can trust. I shouldn't have written this review because I don't want them to get busier, but they deserve it.
