Hartwell Ford & Peugeot

Having bought a 2nd hand Galaxy from another Ford main dealer I took it in to Hartwell as my local dealer, as the heated windscreen wasn't working, and it came with a 3 month warranty. Frankly I was viewed with suspicion and given warnings of all sorts of possible costs if it turned out to be something that wasn't warranty. They were unhelpful and unsupportive, and the perception was I was an inconvenience. The windscreen was faulty and at least they honoured the warranty and replaced the screen- but only because I was confident it was a fault and that I wasn't going to pay for it. I am quite convinced if I had been any less steadfast they would have dissuaded me from pursuing it. I only use them for absolute basics now, nothing more than changing a bulb in fact. I do servicing and MOT work elsewhere, where I feel more welcome
