I live in Swindon but regularly visit North Wales My Fiesta ST3 is nearly 3 years old and has done 100,000 miles Gwyndaff Evans have serviced it every time since new but last week I had the cambelt, water pump, gear box oil and an engine mount changed. All done on time but in the process for whatever reason when the crank case sensor was re-fitted the engine would not start. This was discovered at 5.30 pm on Friday and all diagnostics pointed to a faulty sensor. No part available on Friday . They did consider taking a part off another from 40 miles away but its quite a task and I was happy to stay in North Wales until Monday Unbeknownst to me the mechanic then stripped all his work down to recheck, leaving the garage at 11.45 pm that night for an hour's journey home, was back in on Saturday by 9am when I was told the sales man had already been dispatched to Anglesey for the part The car was ready by 5pm on Saturday (They usually close at noon on Saturday) The cost of this extra work Nil and my offer to at least pay for the part (£32) was refused. Whilst I have thanked all concerned appropriately subsequently, I think in nearly 40 years of motoring that this is the most outstanding service I have ever experienced. If it was a one off it might be one thing but its not. My girlfriend has the same experience of the garage. As an aside the total bill for all the other work was £673 including VAT which is I feel very good value in any event.
