Although a bit more expensive than the chains, a great service, flexible, and conveniently located (15m cut through to the High Street Bus stop) for the centre of town so I could shop during the appointment. A great tradition of servicing Newmarket for a long time and some great historical photographs in the reception area. The charm and locality are worth the extra few pounds.

Went in for simple seized brake caliper change. Two days and several phone calls to them later, they stated they wouldn't change the caliper unless I let them change BOTH Pads and BOTH rotors. Told me rotors were toasted. First, the rotors were nearly new and still absolutely fine. Second, why in the hell would I want the other side's rotor changed? I fix fighter jets for a living, yet they were trying to rip me off completely like I knew nothing. The only reason I brought it to them is because it was still under my 300£ warranty. Then they acted like I was privileged to have their business...what a terrible business model. I will never come back here. As a resident of newmarket, avoid this place like the plague. They don't want to stay open much longer.

All my family take their various cars to Goldings. Our services and repairs are always well explained and honestly priced. Looking at the various cars in their yard it seems they are popular with owners of all brands and business vans.

I have used Goldings for a few years now. It is tucked towards the back of town but has good parking and easy access to High Street and rail station. Goldings have always given good advice and have never taken unnecessary actions just to boost their profits. Always approachable and do exactly what they say they will and to the timescale they have agreed. I recommend this garage and its staff to friends regularly.
