I took my Volvo V40 to the Gatwick branch on 12th September for a DPF removal and clean, and it’s been a complete waste of nearly £500. Despite booking a 9am appointment and arriving early, I was told on arrival that they couldn’t do the job because I should have been asked to bring the car in an hour earlier so the exhaust could cool — something no one mentioned when I booked. The manager (Nathan) offered a free diagnostic which showed the DPF was only 19% full and the sensor was faulty. I was told the DPF could be cleaned in place and the sensor replaced. I agreed, was given a courtesy car, and paid £490 when I collected it a few days later. I was told the issue was fixed. Less than 12 hours later, the same “soot filter full” warning came back on. I returned the car, they ran another regen, and the light went out — but only for a few days. The warning is now permanently on again. When I called back, I was told the DPF actually needs replacing — meaning the £490 I spent has achieved nothing. Very poor service, inaccurate advice, and a dismissive attitude once the money was paid. The issue was never fixed, and I’m now left out of pocket with the same fault. I even contacted Stuart White, the owner of CCM Garages, nine days ago about my complaint. He assured me that I’d hear back within seven days with a resolution — yet here we are, nine days later with no contact whatsoever. That says it all — this lack of accountability clearly reflects the culture of the company from the top down. Avoid this garage if you value honesty, communication, and proper diagnostics.

Had a sensor come on dashboard and found out what problem was (2 problems) Advised that fixing one problem should clear fault. Rang back to say all done. Wasnt expecting it until next day. Quick workers, all polite and friendly and seem to go the extra mile.

Seal on new tyre went. Called and not an issue to take in. They fixed it but damaged tyre putting it back on car. Immediately admitted liability and gave me courtesy car until new tyre arrived. As it was a run flat it wasn’t held in stock. Took two days and cost me nothing. They even fixed a blown headlight without being asked! Went above and beyond!
