Emtec Of Salisbury Ltd

i dropped my car at emtec on 19th december for investigation as the engine had seized. i had no communication from emtec till 3 weeks later. they took my engine apart and gearbox off for ‘investigation’. i got very bored of waiting and concerned that i was being mugged off (i was correct). I was not happy and wanted to take it elsewhere as they were taking ages and ignored my calls. 11th jan i arrived to pick my car up, paid for the them to ‘look at it’, they wanted more money to look further into it and gave me no indication as to what my issue was. in emtec they told me my car had been drained of its oil and to not engage the clutch. i went to check my car to find the gearbox, clutch etc in my boot along with my injectors disconnected and propshaft held up by cable ties. i expected my car to be in the same condition i dropped it to them in (in one piece) so i got it recovered from there home and found that diesel was leaking everywhere. i then got hit with a £100 fine from the recovery company for the diesel spills all over the trailer and the road. i have attached pictures as proof. do not go to emtec. emtec when you read this id love you to refund me for this poor service and sort yourselves out. 0/10

After being shocked by the lack of knowledge of a main dealer, not to mention the money grabbing attitude (trying to charge for a fuel filter I don't have!) these guys are a refreshing change. They know their stuff, have the correct equipment and don't insist that they fill the screen wash even though it was full on arrival. I am very fussy about my cars and I trust Emtec to do a good job for a fair price. 10/10

I’ve been going here a few years now and it is always a good experience. They understand the cars I have had and do a great job at a good price. I’ve even had them upgrade headlights in addition to the usual servicing jobs. This is the only servicing garage I’ve ever felt positively enough about to write a review.

Exemplary of what a local brand specialist should be.

Just had the big one - the 120,000 mile service in my 525d - this is the most expensive service it will ever need. As previously reported, Emtec were helpful and efficient. I borrowed one of their loan cars, free except replacing the petrol I used. My car definitely benefitted from the service and was smoother afterwards. The bill was also less than expected. I'm not sure where the previous reviewer of Emtec had their car serviced, but this does not match the experiences I have had with them over the last 2 and a half years. Recommended.

I was dreading getting my 525d serviced and MOT'd as it had a few problems and needed a new remote locking receiver. I shouldn't have worried - the work was carried out efficiently, I was given a loan car, my car is now much smoother and more economical since the service, and the whole bill was cheaper than expected. Thoroughly recommended

I have been using emtec for over 7 years for my car and my wives too, we have had everything from 10K BMW's to £500 heaps. I average 30k miles per year so we have had our fair share of visits to the garage and every time we have had our car MOT'd, serviced or repaired the service we have had has been absolutely fautless. If you need a trustworthy garage with high standards of workmanship then this is the garage you need to use.
