I asked the garage to investigate the check engine light on my Dad's car. Exactly a year ago BMW had charged £800 to fix the same problem. After investigation I had a phone call with a full appreciation of what might be involved. However, enquiring about my dad's use of the car, the advice was, in the first instance, to go for a long drive in high revs. Of course, as a devoted reader of The Honest, I should have known already. All fixed now. Fantastic!
