Well done to the above garage: They went the extra mile to investigate/solve on ongoing electronic roof problem. IE would not open fully. After not relying on a PC scan saying that there was no fault, the guy rolled his sleeves up and started to looked harder. He discovered that the ECU box that had been fitted to control reversing sensors was fouling up the mechanical arms, in so much the arms had "pulled" wires out of the contact for the roof, subsequently, roof system lost power and would not procede to open. Well done the man that went back to an "old fashioned" idea of HAVING A LOOK. I was given sound advice to get the wiring etc. for the sensors re-routed. Advice I will heed. We are all to quick to complain at many things, so it please me to join this forum and give a big thanks. I often read read the column and find the tips and experiences very helpful. Keep it up.
