Went in for an mot which threw up an issue. Well diagnosed, honestly explained and dealt with the repair very quickly once the part was received. Absolutely no suprise they are rated no1 in nottingham. Top level of expertise carried out with honesty and integrity. Very happy i found this place 2 years ago as they were pretty much the only local garage that could repair a faulty abs control unit. They did that work exceptionally cheaply given the prices i had previously been quoted and have not had any issues with it since. Top drawer

For Volvo owners DPA is the garage to go to. I have used DPA for over ten years and now send all my own and my company cars there regardless of make and model. All the staff are friendly and none would ever talk down to a customer - male or female - ever! I have always been treated as a welcome customer and given professional, considered advice. Everyone who works there knows their job and what is expected of them. I have no hesitation in recommending David Pengelley Autocare to the motorists of Nottingham.

These guys are good. They know what they are talking about. They have looked after my Volvos for several years and now also look after all my company's cars. They make time to explain and advise. They don't talk down to women, they don't use complicated language or techno-babble. Mrs. Pengelly and Rachel wouldn't allow them to!

After having coolant leaking somewhere where others in Nottingham could not find in my Saab, I went to DPA (I thought DPA only dealt in Volvos) he found the problem straightaway and fixed it with very little costs. The other places I went to simply said "just keep topping it up" - bit cowboy'ish if you ask me. I am glad I finally found a reputable, honest, and value for money mechanic in Nottingham. The best thing is you deal with the boss himself (Dave). Like many others have said he does take time to explain things to you in "simple" English. Upon saying this, he also advises accordingly for any possible future problems, and further aims to save you money. I am looking to buy a Volvo purely for the fact that I can go to DPA for everything. As a driver having your car maintained and serviced somewhere reputable like DPA provides reassurance of the vehicle. I recommend everyone uses DPA whether you own a Volvo or not - just try it once and you wont want to go elsewhere! Long live Dave and DPA!

I have only had to use David twice for repairs to electronic faults on my S40 diesel, he doesn't try to confuse you with all kinds of flannel and I trust him implicitly. Any repairs to Volvos are not cheap but he beats main agents hands down on this issue. If anyone has problems they should contact him first before considering main dealerships.

I've used David and his team for a number of years. He has kept my old Volvo 940 going and has managed to do it on a tight budget (imposed by me). The DPA service is- fast efficient good value and very friendly. David is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and if he says that something needs doing, then it does. If you've got a Volvo (or any other car to be honest)and live in the Nottingham area and you're not already using him, then I'd suggest you give him a go asap! You'll be pleased you did! Really good independant volvo specialist. Dave always finds the time to explain, in simple terms, the work that has been carried out. He also offers advice on what is likely to need attention any time soon and gives you an idea of what the cost is likely to be. Always seems to look for a solution that is cost effective for the customer. His long experience with volvos means he rapidly identifies faults and knows how to fix them. I can happily recommend DPA to any volvo owner looking to save money on main dealer servicing.
