Cwmbran Ford

DO NOT use Cwmbran Ford or any Mon Motors garage for repairs Back in March my gearbox failed in my 11 month old Ranger and in the process of failing it destroyed the clutch. I had the Pickup recovered to Cwmbran Ford there they did not listen to my report about the transmission locking up jamming the clutch pedal and forcing the truck to judder to a halt mid traffic and i had to run to side of the road to avoid being hit. Cwmbran ford then charged me £1655.02 for a replacement clutch, flywheel etc and i went to collect the vehicle just before they closed. due to heavy traffic i made it three miles from the dealer before i needed third gear which i found was not there( obviously no test drive was conducted and the vehicle not safe for road use), i called them and was told to take it back on my next day off. After they test drove it Cwmbran Ford admitted there was an issue and booked it back in for a months time leaving me without a vehicle i could safely use. A month later i dropped the ranger back off and given a Mitsubishi L200 as a hire car, Two days later i called them as i had received no word to be told that yes the gearbox needed replacing under warranty and would take six weeks to arrive. Six weeks later i called back to find it would be another few months for a gearbox to arrive. Finally i have my truck back and with Cwmbran Ford still lying to Ford warranty about the misdiagnoses of my gearbox and blaming the clutch failing on me (even though gearbox failed at the same time) i am still left footing the bill. Cwmbran ford will not discuss this issue with the the staff regularly hang up the phone to me and i'm sure if i went there again they would get the police to remove me from there. i have no other choice to recover my money through the legal system, i have tried to be civil and keep this out of social media and the legal system but i am left with no choice. Please if you want a new Ford try Fordthorn in Cardiff, Tarnock Ford in Brean or a dealer in Bristol

I've using the garage since the car was new (16 years) they are competitive with their "older" car prices and provide a very good service. I do believe that the franchised dealer workshops have had to up their game to compete, and that includes a price review.
