Recovered from Langholm, travelling to visit a very ill friend, agreed to diagnose fault, and hire us a vehicle to get us moving, we were quickly on our way after the simplest arrangements. Very reasonable car hire and charged only an hour for diagnosing the ems sensor fault, repair and test drive. Helpful and friendly throughout, returned hire 2 days later, picked up our old Honda and drove home to Aberdeen. Very highly recommended.

We arrived at the Crossways Garage, complete strangers to Scotland, on the back of an AA lowloader following a mechanical breakdown. The chaps at the garage informed us of the devastating news that our engine had seized. Following a night of turmoil in a local B&B as how to best procede, the AA had dropped us there instead of completing a relay to our home town, we came to the conclusion that if we hired a car and left our vehicle with Crossways to complete the repair/replacement they could immediately proceed. We were time bound for business needs and the sooner an effective action taken the better. Malcolm the garage owner sorted us a rental vehicle and stayed in touch whilst we were away from the area by text, email and phone informing us that he had secured a replacement engine, cost and time scale. On our return we found our vehicle was not quite ready and so Ian the office manager telephoned a very nice local hotel and arranged our accommodation at a good rate. The mechanic "Jack" worked his socks off the following day to ensure our vehicle was roadworthy, we had a very long journey ahead through Europe to our business in Bulgaria and subsequently down to the Mediteranean coast of Turkey. We consider ourselves very unlucky to have experienced this breakdown but exceedingly fortunate to have been introduced to such a team. I am in envy of the local populace for having this mechanic set up on their doorstep. They were immeasurately professional, competant and understanding of our situation.
