I had my beloved 10 year old A8 in with Challenge for a 2-yearly long-life service and rectification of an Engine Control Unit warning light. The car was operating in 'limp-home' mode and 'limp' was a good description of its performance. I had to wait with the car as I live 30 mins away. They recognised this and gave my car priority, going straight on a ramp for the service, despite a full garage. The ECU issue was a duff manifold sensor, which they managed to source while I was waiting. It took only 3 hours to service the car and fit the new component (including removing the whole manifold as the old sensor was corroded in place). During this time I was well looked after by the receptionist Jo and the mechanics who offered me coffee 3 times! I was made to feel very special and the price for the service, pollen filter, brake fluid change and the new component still came way under the standard Audi price just for the service. I am very happy with today's work, the car drives like a dream again, and am glad to have found a new servicing home for my A8.

This is an independent VAG specialist garage. I've had cause to visit them several times recently and have found the whole team to be friendly, efficient and highly accommodating. They have made every effort to resolve my car's problems without incurring unnecessary cost for spares. On more than one occasion they have not charged me for their labour in identifying or fixing minor faults. Overall, I've been very impressed.

Explained the symptoms, showed them a relevant HJ email. They ordered the parts and I took it in. When I collected they had managed to repair the electrical connections and so only charged me a little labour and not for the unused part.
