Central Motors, Chard

I have been a Rover 75 owner for some years and my current 75, which I have owned for 6 years, is a Connoisseur SE 2.5 V6, a beautiful car which I adore, and a modern classic. I bought it elsewhere, but Central Motors in Chard, near my home, service and MOT it every year. In mid-January, driving home one evening, the engine overheated. Fortunately I was next to a lay-by and pulled in at once. The AA diagnosed head gasket failure, either one or both of the head gaskets. It was taken to Central Motors and I awaited their verdict with trepidation. The problem was actually a leaking water pump, I was also advised - rightly - to replace the timing belt (on 2.5 V6s this needs to be done every six years anyway). In addition the car needed an MOT: result that the rear brakes needed stripping and the handbrake shoes and drums were cleaned and reassembled and adjusted. Within the week my car was back home and is running better than it has ever done. I cannot praise David, Peter and the mechanics at Central Motors highly enough. Customer service is excellent, they are trustworthy and very pleasant to deal with.
