I commissioned this company to restore a vehicle to “the car of my dreams” as they so proudly offer on their website and got back the car of my nightmares. The work was shoddy to say the least and to cap it all, when I cancelled the project they could not find all my parts and destroyed many items that were perfectly serviceable and I wanted back. If you want a restored car which has multiple dents and scratches in it after painting or a car repair where they do what they decide is needed as opposed to what the customer requests then this is just the place for you. But if you want the “car of your dreams” then you may like to look elsewhere.

I had my MGB serviced and tuned up, they had a problem with the distributor that another garage had fitted previously and it was the wrong unit, I needed the car for the end of that day and had to switch my mobile off due to work restraints, they tried to contact me but could not, rather than send the car back not fixed they installed the correct distributor and set it up properly. When I called to collect the car they explained what had happened and showed me the wrong distributor (with the yellow scrap yard paint on it) I said I did not have the necessary funds this month to pay for a new unit, they said no problem here is your invoice for the work and price we agreed. Drive it for a month and see how much better it is, if it is to your liking call back and see us and we will work out a payment plan if in a month you are still unable to afford it! What fantastic service, I will be back at the end of August for sure. The car is much smoother, and ticks over more even now, I heartily recommend CCHL for their beyond the norm service and attention to detail, Steve Johnson
