I bought a car off Karl in December. It's taken him eight months to transfer his private plates of my vehicle. I've been stuck with the vehicle since then even though I've wanted to sell it for something more reliable. He never even offered to pay the £25 admin fee for my insurance to change the reg number, even though this was his problem and his mess. Karl has no idea about customer care. Return your car with a concern or problem and you may well be branded a "charity case".

CBS autos are an mx5 specialist based in Nelson. I cant recommend this garage enough. Carl the owner is very knowledgeable on all versions of the MX5, very friendly and with very reasonable prices. he fixed my 2007 mx5 in under 20 minutes with required some welding and re fitting of parts. i have seen posts on the owners club of people from all over the country including Scotland come to have him work on their cars. i think this is a true testament to the level of service from CBS if you have an MX5 and need any work done repairs or otherwise CBS Auto's is by far the best.

The garage is known as a Mazda MX-5 specialist, but also does more more general work. My MX-5 was damaged in a collision and written off by the insurance company as uneconomic to repair. I spoke to Carl at CBS, having searched online for someone who new about MX-5's. He collected the car (25 miles away) and got it back on the road (mechanical and bodywork damage) within 2 weeks. He kept me informed how it was going and when it came to collecting it, he stayed open to allow me to get there from work. The job was done to an excellent standard and he was obviously proud of it, insisting on showing me what had been done, the parts replaced, etc. The cost was a fraction of the insurance estimate. Highly recommended.
