Sold me a vehicle stating it had a recent service, it was 4000 miles into the service, said it had had an oil service, it hadn’t and needed doing within a few weeks of having the car. Tyres were excessively misaligned, requiring immediate rectification at a local garage, which Caffyns refused to accept despite having all the relevant paperwork. Lied about my mileage to VW head office, lied to head office about trying to contact me. Needed £1000 of work within first year of buying the car. It’s the sort of behaviour you expect from a back street garage, will never use Caffyns again or get another VW, after being loyal customer for over 15 years. Do not use.

I put my Golf in for a bodywork repair and picked up my bill with warnings that the (recently changed) cambelt needed changing as did 2 tyres (with 5 mm if tread left). At least they had the grace not to suggest disc & pads too. The work was performed to a good standard and the price was fair but the recommendation of unnecessary work means that I no longer consider them as an option for servicing or repairs.

My dipped headlights on my VW Fox had failed . Given what I have read about the cost and difficulty of headlight replacement I put my vehicle into Caffyns Haywards Heath to have the problem remedied with some trepidation about the potential cost. As usual I received an efficient and pleasant service from Caffyns. I was also delighted that the total cost of and replacement of headlight bulbs came to £ 10.18. Caffyns also washed and vacuumed the car. Now thats what I call customer service
