I had spent 2 days online and on the phone searching for a replacement radio casette for my E39 BMW. It seems that there is a well known design fault with the units on the facelift E39's where the amplifier chips fail completely and second hand units are as scarce as hen's teeth. On explaining to Neil at C & N that I was about to sell the car and the radio cassette had just failed on me he went to a lot of trouble to search out a unit that he thought he had 'somewhere in one of my two buildings'. Neil came across as a very cheerful and helpful person. On finding it I was quoted a very fair price, well below the prices quoted by other breakers I had contacted (none of whom had actually got a unit!). I paid for the unit at 15.54 on Friday and it arrived at my door at 09.05 on Saturday morning just over 17 hours after payment. Now that's what I call service!
