Stepping inside Barretts BMW is very pleasant not just for the surroundings and good coffee. I know I am going to be listened to, have things explained without patronising me, I am not going to be upsold unnecessary work and as my car is more than 3 years old their service prices are very competitive. When I have wanted a courtesy car, one has been provided and any query has always been addressed. Based on this comforting experience and my overall satisfaction with my car I can't see myself switching brand or garage anytime soon.

I took my 2 year old Citroen C3 Picasso for work under warranty, I had a fault with the cruise control, noisy air con and a door appeared to have dropped out of line and was catching the front wing damaging paint work. I was told right at the start that the door may pose an issue if the damage is caused by wind, at the time I did not believe that was the case. My wife later informed me that it had slipped from her hand earlier in the week so I called Barratts to cancel the claim for the door but to still quote, which they did. Subsequently I was told my air con just needed a service but the cruise control required a new switch which would be ordered. The next week I was called and told that the car would be fixed, door too, under warranty. The car was taken, the door re aligned, PAINTED and cruise control fixed, even though the paint shop and service department are separate they coordinated and had the whole lot done in one visit, they had my car less than 2 days and provided a Honda Jazz while they were carrying out the work. The air con was serviced during the first visit, and the issue was indeed cured too. I'm still not sure how they managed to arrange for the door to be covered, but happy they did.
