"A complete Alfa Romeo (+ fiat, etc.) expert, charging realistic prices"

Adie Hawkins looked after my Alfa 156 2.5 V6 for some years, until sadly it became clear that I had to let it go at 11+ years old (with 140+k miles on the clock) after the 2009-2010 winter snow (we live on a steepish hill, and our road is not gritted; the car was out of action for the best part of 5 weeks that winter). The trade buyer of my 156 remarked a couple of days after the sale that he hadn't previously come across such a well-serviced car of that age/mileage and that this most likely meant that the service provider had to be exceptional. When I was looking for a 4WD vehicle to replace the 156, it was Adie who put me on to the fact that Alfa Romeo had (for a while) produced a 4WD version of the 159 (the Q4): I managed to find an ex-demonstrator on sale from Alfa Romeo UK via a main dealer, and this allowed me to remain an Alfa driver. Adie now services my 2.4 JTDm, and he's also remapped the engine. He clearly knows his stuff, has a couple of small Fiats (Puntos) available as courtesy cars, and has always provided sound advice. I am more than happy to make the 30-40 minute drive from my home to Adie's premises to have the security of my car being looked after by him; after all, I see no reason why the 159 Q4 should not last up to 11 years too, if properly maintained. The servicing page on his web-site is here: http://www.alfacare.co.uk/Servicing/servicing.php .
