When is a good time to change spark plugs?
I have a Fiesta Active X with 36k on the clock and have had it since 2021. I'm having a full service now. Does it need plugs renewed even if it starts perfectly? What's your advice?
When it comes to good maintenance practice the best approach is to replace key consumables at or before the recommended interval rather than waiting until a problem occurs. While the recommended service interval for EcoBoost engines is a high as 100,000 miles, we would suggest that while your mileage is relatively low the spark plugs are now approaching five years old and a new set would be a sensible investment.
