An excellent small car with minor deficiencies in one or two areas

My Citigo has been 100% reliable except that the engine software has been upgraded (it seemed OK before) and the exhaust shield started to rattle (fixed as a guarantee item and known fault).

It handles very well on country roads, especially noticeable in the winter on winter tyres.

It's extremely comfortable (for me, at any rate).

It's beautifully flexible in town traffic. Clutch, brakes, accelerator and steering are all well-judged weight-wise.

The minor controls are very easy to learn and use.

The boot is capacious but unlined and I regard this as its most serious deficiency as the paint is vulnerable to scratches and chips . I keep a car rug in the boot to put over the boot lip when loading. However, when VW Up's false boot floor became available for the Citigo I got one and it's transformed the usefulness of the car, creating a flat area that extends over the folded rear seats. Last weekend I was able to transport a spinet (small harpsichord) with no bother at all. I still think proper boot lining is badly needed however.

The restricted functionality of the front window switches is only mildly irritating (you have to lean across to operate the passenger window and the windows only go up and down when you press and hold the button).

It would be nice if the engine were a little quieter, and even nicer if it had a bit more power.
