Fun but flawed

I chose this car over other similar small suvs for its styling - the only one that stands out.
Buying experience: confusing. The dealer persuaded me to buy new, so I could specify the options I wanted. All very well, but things I would have expected to be standard on a car of this price were not included - pockets on the backs of the seats, lumber support, removable rear seats, front fog lights. Better to go nearly new so you can see what you’re getting. Handover from the dealer was rushed. Car was dusty. No explanation of the car monitoring displays. It needs a good hour to explain everything. I’ve only just discovered two and a half years in that there’s vehicle tracking on it - there’s no info about it in the manual.
Driving experience: fine but no better than my previous car (Ford C-Max). Manual gear box is clunky. 1.5 engine is perfectly good, and no need for the 2 litre.
Ownership: again confusing. I bought into the service package and was given conflicting messages about how long it covered me for. I topped up with supermarket screenwash which reacts with the bmw screenwash already in to turn it to gel. Yes I should have read the manual but one doesn’t expect this simple task to be an issue. Costs are fine - insurance cheaper than I expected and mpg fine. Can get mid 50s with relaxed driving on long trips.
Verdict: yes I like it but would I get another? Probably not.
