Surprisingly good, very good

Ok so I bought this because it was cheap, it had the long warranty, £30 tax and low insurance costs. I didnt expect much. I just wanted a good reliable car to get me from A to B. Well I have now had this for about 3 weeks so far. If it wasnt for the Hyundai badge I couldnt tell this apart (in terms of quality or function) from offerings from all the major car makes. It seems really well put together - at least as good as my previous 07 Corsa. Nice "thud" as doors are shut. It drives smoothly and quietly - better than my Corsa. Cavernous glove box which doubles as a fridge! A real spare tyre. Bluetooth with built in mic in roof, controls on steering wheel. Fuel consumption difficult to estimate accurately as still running in but averaging out just under 50 which seems fine on mixed driving - I would expect this to improve. Of course I cant judge long term quality at this stage but all looks promising so far. Downsides? The warranty and inspections needed will tie most people into dealers - quoted costs seemed quite high (£350 for a major service). Annonymous looking, even slightly dull but does that really matter?

Update after 4 months the mpg is now settling at around 57mpg - over 60 on long steady journeys. No faults, no issues. Impressive.
