clutch burnt out after 3459 miles

My husband bought me this car in March 2011 from Hawkins Motors Truro, as a special present, my 70th birthday approaching, our golden wedding anniversary and 5 years clear of breast cancer, loved it, bright green, drove smoothly, until the clutch burnt out after 3459 miles and the garage say not mechanical and therefore not covered by warranty and down to my style of driving, bet they wouldnt have said that to a 6ft guy!!! been driving for over 40 years and never ever burnt out a clutch before, suppose I should be greatful they didnt say it was my age or sex .
Have been to trading standards, taken legal advice written to garage and hyundai (they didnt even reply) now it looks like I have to have an independant assessment and go to court, more expense, in the meantime they still have the car in pieces and want nearly 800 to repair it, will fight them all the way
