Nice design poorly executed and developed.

Bought new in September 2021. Within 50 miles rattles apparent from sunroof cover, door cards and behind dash. Driving over a cobbled street is like driving ia bag of bolts. Dealer pretty disinterested. Engine is so inflexible that it can’t hold its speed to70mph on a 1 in 15 incline. If you have to drop gears to keep momentum then the cruise control cuts out. Pointless. Boot hatch has opened itself at least three times, one time a neighbour came over to tell us, we were in the garden. A fault or bad design of the key fob who knows. Memory seats are great, unless you are a large individual and the previous occupant was small, because the seats only take up the new position, slowly, once the door is opened. Great in the rain. If the windows or sunroof are open, the ignition has to be switched on to close them. Unlike every other car I’ve owned for 20 years, which you can open, or close with the key fob. Suggested to the dealer on one visit that all of these points be addressed before they returned the car to me. They took it in at 11am and by 2.30pm everything had been done. They found only a dash rattle and said they could have a go at fixing it, but it might be worse afterwards. They then wanted my courtesy car back as it was booked out the next day. Clearly they had no intention of doing anything meaningful. I’ve had three MX5’s and all have been great, but this thing looks nice, is nice inside, but is poor to drive, given the engine, and rattles so badly I want to dump the thing at the dealer.
