Overall reliability

Poor. Stay well away.

Really poor build from nissan. Had a micra before which was good and never broken down or had any issues.
Bought the Qashqai in dec 2010. Within the 3months the fuel pipe was leaking and could smell in the morning. Also the audio volume keeps changing everytime the car is switched from ignition to start.
The mayor problem I have had is the wheel bearing. I have had to have three bearing replaced and the cars has only done 43k. First one went at 24k, second one 27k snd the third one at 40k. All this within 3years of owning the junk. Each bearing is £800 from dear, what a joke. Customer services dont want to know anything about it and says that the problems could have been caused by previous owners. The refused to help in any way, nit even to investigate the issue. Bearing in mind that I bought it from a nissan approved dealer and bought it with 19k on the clock.
Now the fly wheel is very noisy some days. Got told by local garage that the fly wheel and clucth will need changing costing around £1000.
