I have taken my Audi A6, The wifes Polo and a Vauxhall Vectra here. Always helpful, free advice and quick! I spent £300 on a cowboy because he was close. Never again! The 20 mile journey is worth it for peace of mind and the quality of work. Excellent service, try them once and you'll go back. I have been using them for 6 years and never had a problem.

This independent garage specialises in VAG group servicing. I've taken my car here on a number of occasions following problems arising and they have always been identified & rectified quickly and at reasonable cost. Once, having been told by the main dealer that I needed a new catalytic converter, Monks confirmed it was OK (diagnosed for free) and saved me £450! The main dealer wanted £169 for a CV joint gater: Monks did it for £80 using a genuine VW part.
With regard to courtesy cars, the main dealer insists on a full pre and post-delivery inspection,a £10 fee and you have to show your insurance and driving license. At Monks, you can just get in and drive away and are trusted to top-up the fuel you use.
