I first went to this garage on my son's recommendation, they had been voted top garage at that time, maybe still are. I have had my car serviced, mot over the years and found I can't fault them. They go beyond what is expected, keep customer informed and for me personally they appear to really care about what they do and their customers. They are also very considerate if you are in the older bracket and treat

just now ****7 days follow up.. My exhaust is now rattling very noisily following my MOT. The car drops through a ditch before it goes on to the ramp and lifted into the air and it made quite a load noise when it goes through it. It sounds like the exhaust may have come loose from the impact or from what was inserted into the tail pipe. I have contacted the garage since and they have been a bit skeptical as if i'm making this up but asked me to bring the car back in. I really hope they do not try shed responsibility and turn this into a litigation matter. I will follow up this review with how this matter is handled by the garage and if my faith is restored to revert to my original 5 star review. Original review: I called up elier this week to book my car in and Dave said just bring it in and we'll get it sorted on the day. Top quality service, MOT while you wait, brilliant and friendly staff. All done within han hour. Big shoutout to Dave and all colleagues, gentleman as always and looks after everyone whilst being friendly and professional. Tidy and well organised operation and they treat your car with respect unlike aomw other garages. Great value for money and very reasonable prices! I'll be back in a few weeks for my service and will be recommending to all friends and family.

Perfection every time A great team

I have been to this garage a few times now for a variety of things. Their pricing is always reasonable, customer service is exemplary and they get the job done with no fuss. It's always a pleasure being greeted by the friendly staff at reception.

Do not use if you need to repair/replace your exhaust. I have been back twice to get them to fix my exhaust so it does not sound like it is going to blow up, but they are adamant that it is all fine. I have taken it to another garage and it turns out that it is missing a clip and has not be put in properly as it is blowing in the middle. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This exhaust has now cost me double the amount it should have.

Ive been coming to this garage for a few years now. The customer service is flawless. I always feel that the car is looked after and as a customer im treated fairly. Nothing is ever too much trouble with these guys. Ive found my garage for life. I left my car here to have the work done whilst I had my baby. There was no pressure for me to collect it.

If anyone is looking for a reliable and reasonably priced garage that always goes the extra mile for customers then look no further, i have been using this garage for a number of years now and can't fault them they have always got to the bottom of any faults even when the main dealer couldn't diagnose the problem . Last year i didn't use them and went to the main dealer instead and ended paying over £1300 for a poor service. lesson learned now back using A1 I won't deviate again.

I've had a few dealings with various garages so when these guys were recommended to me I was naturally dubious. But they were fantastic. My car was a bit of a mystery and they could have advised to throw a tonne of money at it. But Ben took his time and went through everything and solved the problem. He stayed in touch with me the whole time and explained everything thoroughly. A couple of weeks ago my starter motor went and he came straight down to look at it and had it fixed in a day. Charged much less than I thought it would be too. I can't recommend these guys enough. I certainly won't be going anywhere else again.

Service was great, didnt have to wait long for my mot and once they had explained it had failed they also managed to fit me in the same day for repairs, wouldn't go anywhere else now.

Took my car in with a clutch problem and agreed on a price. Once the work had started I got a call to say that the clutch was ok and only the bearing needed to be changed. When it came to paying the bill I got a very pleasant surprise as it was over £200 cheaper than agreed! Very honest and would recommend a visit to these guys anytime.

I took my car here for an MOT & service and I found Mike & Ben really easy to deal with. The job was finished on time & the price quoted. I would thoroughly recommend them to anybody looking for a quality garage.

Now that the running of the garage is in the hands of the owner's sons, you go in for one job and will have to go back for more are the professionalism seems to to have gone and the care for Customer comes last . Its always this +this + this + VAT, you dont see no official bill.

As a female most garages assume you dont know anything about cars and try to charge you as much as they can get out of you! Not at A1.. They were friendly, offered me a lovely cup of tea, explained everything i needed to know about my car and also didnt try to charge me a months wage at the end! I have since sent a few friends here and they were all very happy! would def. recommend going to this garage.
