Vauxhall Combo Van, 2005 - Earth Problem? Dash lights on when car off - Cornish Lass

Can someone please advise where the earthing points are on an 05 Combo Van please (1.3cdti if that makes any difference)?

For some time, the high beam light has been slightly glowing when the ignition is off, and just this week, has been joined by the glowplug light. They are only slightly showing and noticeable in the dark. Also today, the digital trip meter keeps resetting itself to zero, and the mileage display comes and goes. Not sure if this is connected to the dash light issue, but thinking a bad earth might be a good place to start.

If anyone could point us in the right direction to find and check all the earthing points, or at least those which might have an effect on the dash lights, it would be most appreciated. If the digital display is possibly another issue, any advice on this would also be helpful. Thanks

There are loads of earthing points all over the car . The one for the dash is on the transmission tunnel, under the centre console, by the gear shift . However, don’t think this will be your problem. I would check the connector at the back of the instrument pod . Make sure it’s clean and tight. Have you checked fuses ? There are 2 for the dash pod .

Did you manage to solve your problem?

Dealing with something like that. Mine keeps main beam and glow plug lights sightly glowing no matter ignition on or off.

Thanks
