Should petrol turbos run for a few minutes at the end of a journey to cool down?

I know you advocate to let diesel engines run for a few minutes at the end of a journey with turbos fitted. Will this also apply to petrol engines as there seem to be more of these about now?

Yes. Petrol turbos run hotter and are watercooled as well as cooled by oil flowing through the bearings, but the same applies.
