DSG gearbox recall - should I ask my local Skoda garage to carry out the work?

Apparently Volkswagen have issued a worldwide recall on cars fitted with DSG gearboxes to replace the synthetic fluid with mineral oil. My car is a 2010 Skoda Fabia with a DSG gearbox but Skoda UK are not recalling their cars fitted with the Volkswagen DSG gearbox.

I believe the problem occurs in hot climates so maybe we in the UK have nothing to fear but if Skoda won't change the synthetic fluid for mineral oil should we in the UK be asking our Skoda garages to carry out the change at our own cost which would probably be cheaper than repairing a failed Mechatronics unit?

This issue only affected 2012 and 2013 production. Prior to 2012 they were filled with mineral oil.
