ABS/ESP problems with Ford Focus

My Ford focus has just developed an intermittent fault with the ABS/ESP warning lights. The symbols illuminated continuously whilst driving, even though there’s no reason for them to come on.

The car is now out of warranty and has also started making a rubbing noise from the left front wheel region when I turn to the right just after I've started off from cold. This noise disappears very shortly after. Have you any advice as to what could be that cause of these incidents - are they related?

Some Ford Focus suffer with the same ATE Teves Mk 60 ASB/ESP module brake pressure switch fault as VAG cars. The best people to fix this are www.ecutesting.co.uk , but you need to remove the module and send it to them. Beware of any garage charging £1500 upwards to replace the entire module.
