Is this used Lexus IS250 about to depreciate heavily?

I'm offered a black with beige leather 2011 Lexus IS250C SE-L coupe convertible for £27,350, taxed for a year with full tank, first service, and IS250C mats, for a cash purchase. It was previously a Lexus management car. My wife is not unreasonably asking what's the catch as, when new in January 2011, the car was £40,000. I dropped £12,000 in two years driving 17,000 miles in my 2009 Honda Legend when I sold it to the trade yesterday, so is there a lot more depreciation to come on the Lexus?

It’s actually at ‘trade book’. That fall in value is perfectly normal in the first year for a car like this. It's a lovely, smooth car and probably the most refined convertible you can buy. Better than a Bentley. Test and video: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/lexus/lexus-is250c.../

Remember, you dropped your £12,000 from new on your Legend over two years. This Lexus has already suffered its biggest annual drop.
