Nissan Qashqai - Internal condensation

My wife has a three-year old Nissan Qashqai. There's lots of internal condensation, and that means having to wait a long time before driving off - whih is a waste of fuel. When starting up, the a/c is running and recirculating cabin air until it gets warm.

Then a/c is switched to normal intake for the journey remainder. When leaving the car all vents are closed. I've read that pollen filters can be a cause, would it just need a new filter?

If the pollen filter is sodden with water this would be the reason for the condensation.
