When's my first oil change due?

In Jan/Feb you very kindly recommended a 1.8 petrol Yeti to cover our needs. We have just taken delivery as there was a 7 month wait - we selected a few extras.

My wife [her car] loves it so thank you very much.

I did manage to get a 12% discount so it cost £22000 rather than list price of £25000 but I used the net to get a price and then showed it to the dealer.

It will only be doing about 6000 miles per year and so the 2 year variable service is too long to wait for an oil change. This I have learned from you {thanks again} but do I wait 1 year or just 6 months to change it?

Change the oil after the first year. And watch the oil consumption carefully. Some of these engines have been using excessive oil and I think its because the owners have not revved the engines sufficiently to bed in the piston rings.
