Clutch fate

We had a new clutch put in our 2002 Ford Focus 14 months ago. The garage sent us out without putting the gear oil/lubricant in, we drove about 14 miles and then realised and drove the car back as we knew something was up, the manager asked us to pay for the parts and he’d pay the labour and guarantee the gearbox. All this was verbal. 14 months and 15k miles later the clutch has gone again. It’s in the garage and they agree it should not have gone already.

They are contacting the clutch supplier. They think the parts should have warranty for 2 years, then they will decide about the labour. Obviously we think we should not be paying again, for a faulty clutch and the fact they sent us out without finishing the job in the first place. It is our major garage in our local town of Tewkesbury and they are the local Peugeot/Citroen dealers, Warners Motors of Gloucestershire. Any advice would be appreciated.
